As part of the social and cultural program for the European Theoretical Spectroscopy Facility (ETSF) Informal Meeting 2026, held in Rome from September 7 to 10, the Enrico Fermi Museum welcomed conference participants for a specialized visit to our historic site on Via Panisperna.

During their visit, delegates toured the historic building where fundamental research into nuclear and subatomic physics was pioneered. The itinerary highlighted the historical evolution of theoretical and experimental physics at Via Panisperna, drawing parallels between Fermi’s foundational work and modern research challenges in theoretical spectroscopy and quantum materials.

The Enrico Fermi Museum remains dedicated to preserving the heritage of 20th-century physics while continuing to support and engage with the international scientific community.
