It’s Easy to Say ‘Blue’! The Spectroscopic Fingerprints of Colors

Not all blues and whites are the same! Don’t be fooled by appearances! Similar pigments can have different chemical origins. Using spectroscopic tools, CREF researchers will show you how to uncover the hidden secrets in paintings. Workshops on pigments, binders, and fluorescence will help you understand how a work of art is constructed and analyzed.

This workshop is suitable for all ages.
