For the 2024 edition of our Open Conferences, the Enrico Fermi Research Center proposes a cycle of events entitled “Manhattan Project. A story with many voices”.
Throughout four appointments, from January to May, we will unfold the human and ethical implications of the Manhattan Project, relying on the voices of exceptional witnesses, who can give us a perspective on the events that is all the more interesting as it is less official and celebrated.
The last appointment is with Bruno Pontecorvo. Though he was in the United States since 1940, he was excluded from the Manhattan Project due to his communist ideas. Giuseppe Mussardo (Physicist and Writer, SISSA, Trieste) will tell his story and his transfer to the USSR.
Participation is free, with reservations required via the form below.
If you want to book for multiple people, list the details of each person (name, surname, date of birth) in the “remarks” space.
The data is necessary to request the pass to enter the Viminale Complex, where our building is located.
